QUESTION

Wedding photographers are unresponsive. It's been 8 weeks past the contracted deadline.

More details to this question:
Signed a contract for $1K/2 photographers/5hrs. On our wedding day (Oct.), only 1 photographer showed. Our contract stated that our photos would be avail. 8 wks after wedding incl. disc and print release. Emailed them 2 wks after the wedding, inquiring about progress and received response saying that photos would be avail. 1st wk of November. Did not hear from them all of November, so I waited until wk 9 to inquire again and received no response. Since then, it has been impossible to get a hold of them. Their # is no longer in service and the only responses I've gotten were 2 emails from an intern with excuses. I finally received a message saying that they have been doing cruise/destination weddings and haven't been in studio for 2 mos. I then asked if they could give me an estd. time frame and have received no response. It has been about 8 wks past our contracted deadline. What's worse is that I seemed to have lost the copy of our contract - I do have all of our email correspondence.

Well, key to any breach of contract case.....is the terms of the contract. As you lost yours, its really impossible to tell what your rights are effectively.
