What if slander ruined your alumni network?

What if the slander is still going on and the network which was supposed to be lifetime and a contractual agreement was lost?

Slander is very difficult to prove.  You would have to be able to prove the source of the misinformation, the monetary loss that you suffered, and connect the misinformation and the loss.  There is a really good article in the New Jersey Lawyer that you might find helpful.  Social Media Slander
