QUESTION

What type of attorney do I need?

Asked on Apr 24th, 2018 on Contracts - New York
More details to this question:
My place of residence - middle- low income housing is trying to evict me for non-residence. I co-mortgaged a home out of state with my mom so that she could qualify for the loan. I have had my job for 23 years, I must live in the 5 bouroughs or tri-state area. I will not be able to afford to move out and stay in a good neighborhood. I have lived here for 18 years and am now being investigated for eviction. What type of lawyer do I need?

Landlord and Tenant Law Attorney serving New York, NY
You need a tenant rights lawyer to represent you. The fact that you have a second home is normally not a sufficient reason to be evicted. However, you need to continue to maintain the apartment  as your primary  residence.
