QUESTION

Which state has jurisdiction?

Asked on Apr 11th, 2014 on Breach of Contract - Florida
More details to this question:
I have a commercial laundry in Broward County, Florida; I have done some business with a Florida LLC which principal address is in Manhattan, NY and one registered agent address in Miami-Dade,Florida; it was a verbal agreement to wash cloths and he will paid. He defaulted. I want to put a lien on the property then begin a civil suit. Just not sure which city, county, or state has jurisdiction. Also, his business is leased from a commercial plaza, can I still put a lien on the business even he doesn't owe it? Will it be best to do a civil suit or can I do both the suit and the lien? Thank you

That you are asking such basic questions, should tell you that you are not in a positon to address this matter without an attorney. In fact, in Florida and many states, corporations or LLC's must have lawyers to be involved in litigation.
