QUESTION

Will i win my case in small claims court?

More details to this question:
I rented a place with someone I knew. The lease was for a year through a rental agency. I moved out almost half way through do to some differences. My roommate agreed to pay both halves of the rent from then on out. I have many text messages saying she would do so. I asked multiple times and the answer was yes each time and that I was free to go. She is now bringing me to small claims to "get the money she deserves". Our rent was fully paid for the whole lease. According to the landlord everything was paid up and left the place in great condition. Also no where in the lease does it state each party has to pay half. In their eyes as long as its paid they don't care what the agreement was. My question is if my text messages I saved would hold up against her story of me owing her money when she Cleary stated in text that she would cover the rent and I would not have to pay anything. Thank you

Obviously I have not seen the messages, but text messages are evidence that can be used in court.  As a writing the messages are credible.
