QUESTION

Compensating a Dirctor of a Non Profit

Asked on Oct 20th, 2016 on Corporate Law - Florida
More details to this question:
Over the last year, one of our nonprofit directors has devoted a significant amount of time grant-writing/fundraising The Board has discussed the possibility of compensating this director for their work, however, we know that compensating board members is sometimes frowned upon by donors/grantors etc.. We don't want to jeopardize our relationship with any of our donors. How would our nonprofit set up bylaws, policy, etc to limit conflict of interest and pay the director.
