QUESTION

Can I be charge even though I didn't write the offensive post?

Asked on May 21st, 2013 on Criminal Law - Michigan
More details to this question:
I attend a middle school, and I own a social media page about anonymous confessions. Someone posted something vulgar about a girl saying they want to slap her, and the teacher says itโ€™s partially my fault because I saw the post, and let it trough to the page instead of reposting it.

Well you should take some responsibility if you let it get posted.

Your response should be to apologize for not policing your site to make sure that offensive posts did not get published. But you should deny any responsibility for the posting itself. You need to post a disclaimer that you are not responsible for the opinions of others that are published on your site and reserve the right to edit them when you find them.
