QUESTION

Can I get my class B misdemeanor expunged?

Asked on Oct 27th, 2013 on Criminal Law - Texas
More details to this question:
Hello, I made a horrible mistake yesterday and stole something from a Walmart in a nearby town. I was charged with a class B misdemeanor, I was bonded out and I have court in a few weeks. I'm still in high school and just recently turned 18 and am really concerned about my future. I understand what I did was extremely stupid and have learned my lesson. I would really like to have this misdemeanor expunged from my record. What do I need to do to accomplish this? I'm an honor student, National Honor Society member, Spanish Honor Society member, and an athlete. I have also completed voluntary community service in the past, will this help?

Most states have a first time offender's program which allows you to get out of this with no conviction or record and an expungment of the criminal records. Contact a local lawyer for advise.
