Can I request a dash cam video?

More details to this question:
Can I request a dash cam video? And I do I go about requesting one? I was pulled over by a Charlotte County deputy and they found marijuana in my truck but I feel they didn't have probable cause to pull me over.

You should retain a god criminal lawyer to handle the case. If the officer had the right to arrest you for something, smelled pot, saw drugs in plain view, or got your consent he had probable cause and the search was legal. If he did not have a warrant or probable cause and you did not consent the judge mat rule that the search was illegal and the drugs will be suppressed. The police officer will probably lie to make the search legal as that is what they do in most cases.

If there is a video that recorded the events leading up to the police stopping you then your attorney can request it, and the prosecution must provide it.

You should speak to your attorney about this? In California, you would run a discovery request or issue a subpoena duces tucem. Handling criminal matters can be a complex procedure if you are unfamiliar with it (ie. not a criminal defense attorney). It is rarely if ever a good idea to represent yourself in these matters, and may cost you a lot more in the long run than the expense of hiring a good attorney.
