Arrested? Yes anybody can be arrested if the police have probable cause to believe a crime was committed. Is it likely that it will happen? Impossible to say based on what you wrote. He must keep his right to remain silent in mind and decline to give any statement. If he is arrested, time for a lawyer.

Just because it is missing does not make him guilty of anything. They have to tie him in to the drugs disappearance.

Anyone can be arrested on suspicion. Whether or not he will be charged and whether those charges will hold, is to be seen.

He probably will not be arrested without direct evidence that he took the medication.

It's possible he will be charged, depending on whether the ex calls the police and whether the police believe her. That being said, you've explained exactly why a case against him would be hard for a prosecutor to make. If your husband is charged, hire a lawyer immediately, and do not talk to the police without a lawyer present at any time.

I am not certain that you provided all of the information necessary to form an opinion. Has your husband had previous problems with drugs. From what you have provided no way of information it would be surprising to me if he was arrested unless he has a significant past record.
