More details to this question:
Hi I'm asking this for a friend of mine. She met this guy who is in the US army. Before she met him, she had talked to another guy she met online but broke it off. Well now that she is talking to this army guy, they are telling her that this other person sent her money from Nigeria and she knows nothing about any money or seen any money or has any money. She lives paycheck to paycheck. She's been really struggling since her husband passed away. They tell her she she doesn't pay the scam money back, they are calling in the army to arrest her. Is that true? I have seen the text from West Africa commander, that is what the guy is calling himself. He gives no rank or really say who he is. She is scared. What do you think? Can they arrest her if she doesn't pay it or is someone out to get her money?
It sounds like a scam to me. Who's army is going to arrest her? U.S. Armed Forces or the Nigerian Army? As a rule, the U.S. army does not arrest people unless you are a member of the armed forces or on a government base. If you have proof of the threats, I suggest that you take the proof to your local police station and make a report.
