Can the state bring trafficking charges against me?

More details to this question:
I was arrested and so was my boyfriend. Being a felon, I got charged with weapon charge. The gun was in the glove compartment in my car. My boyfriend got charged with trafficking. My case was dismissed, no action.

The case can attempt to charge you with anything it chooses, the question is if it can prove the charges. Get and attorney and do not speak with the authorities, or anyone else until you have received counsel.

I would need to know more about the circumstances of the case, but given the scenario you described, the State could theoretically charge you with conspiracy or aiding and abetting. Contact a criminal defense attorney so he/she can ask questions and get more information for a more solid opinion.

The fact that they have not charged you along with the boyfriend means that they probably will not charge you. Sit tight and cross your fingers.

could happen, but less likely at this point - usually they add the charge before they dismiss the other charge I would be interested in working on either case.
