QUESTION

Can violation of probation send you back to prison?

Asked on Oct 06th, 2014 on Criminal Law - Florida
More details to this question:
I have a friend who is awaiting trial for criminal mischief and trespass of occupied dwelling. He remained in an unlocked apartment after running from the cops and while the cops were knocking on the door, he tried to escape through the back porch and they found him. If found guilty, what is the possibility of him going back to prison for VOP? He served 6 years already and another 6 on probation and has done well on probation until this new arrest.

Your "friend" needs to get a criminal defense attorney. Only an attorney who knows all the facts and circumstances, much more than what you have written, can answer.
