If I am the suspect of a crime that had supposedly been captured on video, and I am being called into questioning, what are my rights to seeing the video, would I be called to the police station just to be arrested?

Generally, you don't have any right to view the video while the case is still being investigated. They may show it to you to coax a confession. They may just tell you the video is definitely you. Beware: the cops don't have to tell you the truth about the clarity of the video. The best advice any attorney can give you is to stop cooperating with them. If they think it's you, there is virtually nothing you can do to help yourself, by talking. The best thing you can do for yourself at this point is to invoke your 5th Amendment right to be silent. And yes, if they feel they have probable cause to arrest you for the alleged crime, they can be calling you to the station for no other reason than to arrest you, with or without the confession. Best of luck. Rick
