Hello I'm in Texas and have a criminal defense question that I'm very worried and distraught over. I'm an upstanding citizen with no prior legal or criminal issues. By accident I was on a tumblr blog with some cartoon images and clicked on a few before realizing they were maybe indecent and illegal. I didn't download share register on any sites didn't watch any thing else or any other videos and have absolutely no experience with this not even googling it at all but very concerned because in reading some of the child porn laws I'm afraid I may be in violation even by accident. I know the laws both federal and state are pretty strict even when browsing. I'm very distraught upset and much afraid I will go to jail and lose my job over a mistake as I have read the many horror stories on this. I've contacted a couple of other online legal resources and heard nothing and wonder if I need to consult an attorney on this. Very worried and distraught. Thanks for your help.

Any damage is already done, so there is nothing you can do now. Obviously if the police contact you, do NOT speak or give any statements to the police. Keep your mouth shut, remain silent, and ask for your attorney. As for prevention, don't go to that site anymore and do not look at those type of images anymore.
