More details to this question:
I have been on the run for five years for 250 grams of drugs. I never did have possession of the drug. They were in another car but my co-defendants and a CI say that they are mine. They donโt have to evidence against me. All they have are affidavits. Iโm from New Jersey and this happen in Pennsylvania. People tell me to give a lawyer like $20,000 and let the lawyer make a deal. I have like $15,000 ready for bail. The case is five years old. Maybe the prosecutors just want to get the conviction. Maybe they will want to make a deal because they canโt find my co-defendants because he was going to college. After five years, I donโt think he will still be there. What do you think? Please help me. I bailed out and went to court one time for my arraignment but never went back.
Your case is not going to go away. The statute of limitations will not run as long as you are running from the court. I don't have nearly enough information to advise you. One thing I would lie to see is the extent of the State's evidence against you. I would bet there is more evidence against you than what you are telling me.
You need to get a good lawyer in the matter. All they have are these other peoples word that it was your dope. They had a reason to say so since it would make their position better. Go back and fight this.
This is a California message board, so I can't tell you what to do in Pennsylvania. However, if you were in my jurisdiction, I would recommend that you hire a local attorney to have the bench warrant recalled and fight the case.
If for any reason you come to the attention of the authorities you will be immediately arrested and jailed. Get an attorney and deal with it. As stated your question does present some issues and therefore they should not discussed with anyone until you have received counsel from an attorney.
