In 2006, my husband was pulled over and taken to jail, because he did not have his wallet. He was cited for no auto insurance. At the time, we did have coverage. He went to jail and the judge dismissed everything time served. We are now having to pay a surcharge and get sr-22 for no insurance (that we had) how do we fix this?

You need to call DPS in Austin and send them a copy of the dismissal. The original court should have a copy of the dismissal on file that you can go get.
