QUESTION

How can we stop this person from threatening our business?

Infrequently, someone who purchased our software using a credit card demands a refund (after the refund period) and makes threats to complain to the BBB, file a law suit and/or publicly defame our company. What can we do about it please?

Nothing. You can call their bluff and fight them when they do complain. Or maybe send out an alert that this person is a thief and stole services. But usually it's not worth the negativity and hassle, right? I have had one client that was unhappy and I really don't want anyone unhappy so I gave him his money back. But he just went crazy with another lawyer anyways.
