More details to this question:
My friend received a call this morning from a Hightower and Hightower Law Firm out of Texas. They informed him that he needed to call immediately to deal with some felonies on his social security #. If he didn't respond by the end of the day, they would start the process to have a warrant issued for his arrest. We live in Colorado. He hasn't been in Texas nor has never resided in Texas. I looked for this office online, couldn't find it. Did a reverse phone look up and nothing? Should we be concerned about identity theft issues or do you think this is a scam?
This does not sound authentic. Do not provide your social security number to an anonymous caller over the phone. No one will request this information in exchange for quashing a warrant.
