More details to this question:
I received a speeding ticket in one city, and am just about to pay the fine for it as I am on deferred adjudication. Today I received a speeding ticket in another town under a different jurisdiction. Does this default my deferred adjudication? What should I do? I will not have to even enter a plea of guilt for the new ticket until after the conclusion of the original ticket.

It is not the receipt of the ticket that is the violation but the speeding that is the violation. So, when you return on the deferred it depends on what they ask you, but whatever you do, don't lie. Definitely NOT worth it.
