Is the third time offense for shoplifting a felony?

More details to this question:
I was convicted of two shoplifiting cases when I was 15-17. I just recently got caught for shoplifting under $50. The first time I got caught I was just put on probation for 3 months and paid fines. The second time, I went to jail for two hours and got released in the state of Texas.

It only gets to felony with an amount greater than $1500.00 3rd time is not the charm for shoplifting.
