What can I do to have this dropped or reduced to a fine? for Resisting

my bf and I were arguing he got upset took my car told me he was going to wreck it. But in reality all he did was take it and park it in the back of apt complex I was not aware of this until after they arrested him. I did call police because I thought he was going to wreck my car. they had me fill a statement of what happened. I was upset at the time. When the DA called me I said I did not want to persue charges. They charged him with G theft auto and resisting arrest. the da said he would drop gta and offer 12 months probation for resisting arrest. ( he tried to hide from police) didn't run or anything so he tells me. does this look like something we can get dropped or pay a f ine. we cannot afford probation and fees ect. they also told me if I go to trial and I change my story on stand I can get in trouble for lying. I wasn't aware that he parked my cra in back and I was out of it upset not in right state of mind when all this happened. I want it all stopped I was upset

The offer by the state indicates that it already is offering to drop the charge directly concerning you -- on condition that he pleads to the charge that does not directly relate to you (i.e., the resisting without charge). Since you are not considered the victim of the resisting charge, I believe the state will be more interested in the law enforcement officer/s desire with regard to a disposition. That is an aspect that could be explored by your boyfriend's attorney (which the attorney may already have done).
