What can I expect from a Class C misdemeanor?

More details to this question:
I was arrested a few weeks ago for shop lifting in Texas. It was less than 500 more than 50. What can I expect? I have never been in trouble before and have no criminal record.

DO NOT PLEAD GUILTY! That is a case of moral turpitude and could affect you getting jobs in the future. Hire a lawyer and a good one to not affect your life.
