Class B theft is punishable by up to 6 months in jail. Whether your fiance can get an offer that will permit the record to be sealed will depend on many factors including when the prior occurred, the outcome of it, etc. Your fiance needs a good lawyer.

Check if he is eligible for an expunction. Otherwise, he is looking at 180 days in jail with a possible $2k fine. So, better hire the best attorney yall can afford.
