What will happen if I got an open container charge?

I got a ticket in burbank ca for having an open container of alcohol on my trunk and i am under 21 years of age. What will happen?

For being a minor in possession of alcohol you could be fined $250. 00 or sever 24-32 hours of community service.

You will most likely spill booze all over your trunk. Actually probably a fine and that's it.

You may lose your license for up to 1 year. Contact an attorney, who may be able to negotiate a dimissal on your behalf provided that you "earn" it. Open container is a relatively minor charge so the Judge/prosecutor is more easily persuaded by an experienced attorney.

It all depends on how you're charged. If they charge you with being a minor in possession of alcohol, you can lose your driver's license for a year. Because of that, it's definitely worth getting an attorney. Look for a local criminal defense attorney that routinely practices in the court where your case will be heard.
