You need to talk to a lawyer since your retraction of the statement may likely result in filing a false police report and you can be prosecuted for that. So do not make any statement to the cops or anyone unless you talk to a lawyer.

Why did you do that? Not only can he be charged with a crime, but you could be charged for filing a false police report. You need to come clean and tell the truth to the police and to the prosecutor before this goes any farther and gets completely out of hand.
