QUESTION

Will a 7411 be seen on a criminal history check?

Asked on Dec 04th, 2013 on Criminal Law - Michigan
More details to this question:
I'm applying to nursing school, and wondering if a 7411 will be pulled up/seen on my criminal background check? I completed probation and everything required successfully, but I'm really nervous about this being seen by admissions. Fingerprints are included. Please help, I'm in need of answers!

It should not be considered as a conviction.

I need details but would think not, however your arrest may. See an attorney and get the arrest record sealed if possible.

It is not supposed to show up on your record for background checks. To make sure it doesn't, try obtaining a copy of your criminal record from the Michigan State Police I Chat. You can get it online for around $10 to see if it is showing up. That way, if it is you will have time to get it corrected before you start applying.

You need to expunge your record. Contact the court clerk for the form.

If you were fingerprinted, then you were arrested, and the record of your arrest will appear on your criminal background report.

Don't know what state you are writing from. I am in Washington State. I do not know what "7411" is.

It very well could. If that is your only criminal charge in your lifetime, and if it has been 5 years since you were sentenced for that offense, you should retain a lawyer to request an Expungement from the Court, which is a deeper "cleaning" of your criminal record than a 7411 plea.
