A man was arrested for DV, how can we get the charges dropped?

More details to this question:
A couple got in a fight one night. The boyfriend ended up leaving the house leaving girlfriend upset at home alone. When alone angry in the house she fell and hurt herself. She went to the doctor and when they asked what happened she said it was boyfriend's fault just being angry and in pain medication. Boyfriend got arrested. Now state made charges. How do they get out of that situation.

If they charged him, the DA doesn't believe the falling story. Unless there is some technical violation, it is likely proceeding to trial unless there is a plea bargain of some sort.
