QUESTION

Am I able to get license back with dropped DWI charge?

Asked on Feb 26th, 2014 on DUI/DWI - Georgia
More details to this question:
November of last year, I was charged with a DWI, along with a laundry list of other traffic violations. However, at court they were all thrown out on account of no viable reason for the cop to pull me over. My license was suspended 30 days after my arrest for 6 months. So I'm wondering because the criminal charges were dropped will my driving record be erased of the DWI; therefore allowing me to get my real license back. Will I have to seek a 6 month temporary license and deal with high insurance, etc.?

Cause charges were dismissed you can file DS 702 with DMV and request rehearing on suspension issue.

Unlikely. The DMV prosecuted you separately back in November, and if you never requested a hearing on time, their suspension still stands.
