QUESTION

Are there alternatives to a third DUI?

Asked on Dec 04th, 2014 on DUI/DWI - Pennsylvania
More details to this question:
The first 2 DUIs (alcohol) were in 2009 and were highest rate. I completed rehab, lived in a halfway house for 2 years, and remained sober and trouble free for 5 years. I just started drinking again and got a 3rd DUI, general impairment. I have a great job that I have to drive 45 minutes to everyday so keeping my license is paramount. I am in Intensive Outpatient Counseling also. I (and my attorney) am seeking a plea deal for Reckless Endangerment instead of the DUI. Are there any variations of this charge that can be offered to the DA or another charge to couple with it? I would take house arrest, SCRAM, interlock device, high fine, etc. but I do not know if these are possible alternatives. Thank you.

IN my county, house arrest is a possibility. However, you have to go over all of the facts with an attorney to really learn all of you options. You provide too little information here.
