More details to this question:
My wife was assaulted on Saturday. We were at a child's birthday party. My wife and the husband of the attacker were flirting with each other and the attacker followed us to our car. I put my wife in the car and was walking around the car to leave and the attacker opened her door and punched my wife in the face four times. She broke her glasses and left bruises on her face. My wife didn't lift a finger against the attacker or even say a word. I ran back around the car and pulled her off of my wife. I locked my wife's door and got in a pulled away. Both my wife and the attacker had been drinking all evening. The attacker was beating on my wife's window screaming she was going to kill her. The next day we filed a report with the police. The police officer scared my wife off of pressing charges and I was just wondering what our options are for some kind of justice?
