Can a lawyer help out of state parole holds?

More details to this question:
My boyfriend is in Genesee County Michigan Jail awaiting extradition for a parole violation in Missouri he had interstate compact here to Michigan. He got violated for missing one appointment and for residency. Someone said that he moved but we've lived in the same house the whole time we lived in Michigan. Is there any way that we could Get him out? Or does he have to go all the way back to Missouri for only a technical? There's no laws violations he has no new charges. This jail he is in is over 400 peple over the Capacity. Is there anything that can be done without having to go to Missouri?
