Can a person get a Class A Misdemeanor expunged or sealed??

More details to this question:
My boyfriend was charged with assult to a family and took the lowest plead of a class A misdemeanor, and it is currently stopping him from getting a job.

He cannot get it expunged nor non-disclosed. A finding of family violence precludes either.
