Can an illegal immigrant sue a US citizen? How?

More details to this question:
I was recently dating a man who had been filed under as a child molester for showing his private parts to a child. I have two daughters, 14 and 15. I want to sue this man for attempting to molest my 14 year old, and for harassing us, but I want to know if by doing this, will me and my family get deported?

Generally such a matter would be dealt with as a criminal complaint as opposed to civil lawsuit. Call the authorities. While your immigration said I should have nothing to do with this matter it is possible that the fact that you are an illegal immigrant may come to light and cause issues.

The first question is whether the man has any money ultimately, the kids are the ones suing and they may be citizens if born in the US it is not likely that deportation proceedings would be brought in this situation - there may even be an exception to deportation for this situation.
