More details to this question:
I've been fighting a criminal case since December. I am currently finally in trial. But the judge sitting in has not one time in over 50 court dates sat up in front of me during any of my court proceedings. I thought you have one judge per case?
Judges often fill in for each other, so there's nothing illegal or improper about it. You will have the same judge throughout your trial, but there's nothing wrong with having different judges handle the preliminary aspects of your case.
