Yes, you will have to report the conviction the next time your nurse's license is up for renewal. You need to hire a DUI attorney to handle your DUI so you don't end up with a conviction on your permanent criminal record.

Any action is up to the Board of Nursing. They are normally not notified by the court.

Yes. We frequently handle DUI cases involving people employed in the medical profession (Nurses, Doctors, Physical Therapists, Radiology Techs, etc.) your governing board is deeply involved in policing members of the profession. If you have been arrested for DUI, you should expect to hire a lawyer to handle the DUI and, quite possibly, a lawyer to handle the Nursing Board.

Historically there was little effect but there are no guarantees. multiple DUIs could well effect your licensure, and the ability to get additional certifications or licensure in other states. If you are not yet convicted get a good and aggressive attorney to attempt to mitigate the damages.

It very well could. Anyone in the medical profession that has any inkling of a substance abuse problem may have difficulty getting admitted into the profession. A lot is at stake so consult with an experienced DUI attorney in your area to see if the case can be negotiated to a non alcohol related offense such as reckless driving.

A DUI is a criminal record. You need to hire a DUI specialist, and do it soon because you have only 10 days to save your license.
