Can I be arrested for someone elsese drugs?

More details to this question:
I called the police for a potentioal robbery. They asked me to see my place I had a roomate staying over for the day. Didn't know he had and or used druges... well when I went to be he must of started up and left a lot of residue or cocane behind this is what was said by the cop. Anyway No ticket was issued nor was any arrests.. Can they come back now at anytime? I told them I would deff go thorugh the apt after . also can they send me a ticket or am in serious trouble here? The guy said and i was there that its his stuff

you called the police so the police have the right to be in your apartment. the police can seize the drugs and arrest the person in 'possession' because they have the right to be in the apartment and they have observed a criminal event-possession of cocaine. the police can charge you with this crime.  the owner of the drugs can be a witness for you if you are charged. he can testify that the cocaine was in his possession. the jury can decide if he is telling the truth. please let us know if we can help you. ed dimon, esq.
