Can I be charged by the feds for having a gun where my felon boyfriend lives?

More details to this question:
They are saying something about exposure. My boyfriend is a felon and our house was raided. During the raid they found 8 grams of weed and two firearms that aren’t registered but have been in my home since 2008. He moved in 2010. The Feds are investigating the case but are talking about an exposure law but I don't understand what that is.
