can i be charged with assault 6 years after the altercation?

More details to this question:
I got into an altercation with a relative and punched him once resulting in a black eye. There was a police report at the time but I was never charged with any crime or served papers. The relative also did not go to a hospital or need medical treatment. He did however take a picture of his eye. Now over 6 years later this relative is threatening to have me arrested over this. I assume the statute of limitations applies in this case. Do I have anything to worry about?
The statute of limitations for simple assault is 2 years. You should talk with a good lawyer and review all of the facts of your case to make sure you aren't missing anything.
