Can I clear an arrest warrant in Troy, Michigan without having to go to jail?

More details to this question:
I received a misdemeanor for driving with improper plates on 04/14/2013 in Troy. I was supposed to appeared in court on 07/17/2013, but I forgot about it. Now I have a warrant for my arrest. I would like to take care of it as soon as possible. I'm afraid of going to court now because I just started a new job and I don't want to be arrested. What are my options?

An attorney should be able to reset the date and have the warrant reminder, but you will have to answer the underlying charge.

Better now than later. I was just in Troy yesterday, its not a bad Court. Waiting years to show up is a very bad idea.

Get a lawyer and go to court on this matter and get it cleared up. This lowers your chances of going to jail than if you do nothing and the cops pick you up.

Most courts will impose a bond for your release. Your Attorney should contact the original police agency where you got your ticket, tell them you forgot about your court date and make arrangements for you to turn yourself in, post bond and set a new PRE trial date. In the meantime also get proper plates on your car and have proof you are in compliance with the law.

You need to go in as soon as possible on the bench warrant for failing to appear. Get an attorney to help you. It is extremely doubtful you will get any jail time but you need to do this now before you are picked up by the police.
