QUESTION

Can I drop domestic violence against my husband?

Asked on Apr 08th, 2017 on Criminal Law - Indiana
More details to this question:
My 11 year old son just called the police and exaggerated details of abuse to myself. CPS made me sign a safety plan for my son and now the cop keeps coming to me wanting to interview my son. I won't have it, I want to drop it all.

Please talk to a domestic violence counselor in your community. Your son needs protection even if the abuse was "exaggerated", and you need some guidance on how to provide it. The State is in charge of whether ANY criminal case in this state gets prosecuted. You do not have control over "dropping" it.
