QUESTION

Can I ever get this traffic violation off my record?

Asked on Apr 15th, 2015 on Criminal Law - Missouri
More details to this question:
I just went to court two days ago and my sentence was suspended. I have to pay $200 fine. I didn’t go to court when I was 18 because I was scared and didn’t want my parents to find out. I dropped my friends and stayed out of trouble until I got pulled over. How can I get it off my record? I don’t know anything about the law or how it works. I don’t want to be labeled as a bad person who will never change. I have learned my lesson. I’ve never been in trouble before. I’m freaking out because I want to have a career one day.

If you received an SIS (suspended imposition of sentence), then you also were placed on probation. If you successfully complete probation without any violations, the court will close your case and there will be no conviction on your record.
