It depends on what you mean by "off your record". In California, DUIs remain on your DMV record for 10 years and cannot be expunged from your DMV record. The DUI convictions may be expunged from the court records, at the discretion of a judge, but can still be used as enhancements for future DUI filings and convictions.

What you are asking about is an expungement, if you successfully completed probation you may be eligible to apply for record clearance. You should talk to your lawyer or, if you didn't hire one, a lawyer since expungements are discretionary AND provide limited relief.

You can get the conviction dismissed pursuant to PC 1203.4 after you are off probation, provided you have not open cases. This dismissal doesn't get conviction off your record, it merely allows you to answer No to the question have you ever been arrested for a misdemeanor. In California, that's the best you can do.

DUI's are never expugnable. No offense involving driving is expugnable.

What Is on your record? In Missouri, you have to wait ten years to try to expunge a conviction. If you received an S.I.S. you have to complete your probation.
