I stole a $109 pair of shorts. I have never been in trouble with the law in my life. I am wanting to become a Psychiatrist. I have to get grants and scholarships. I wanted to know if I can get this charge off of my record. If so how can I? I have not been to court yet and have not pleaded guilty or not guilty.

Hire a lawyer!!! You may be able to get some kind of program that will allow the case to be satisfied without a guilty plea and without probation - thus resulting in a dismissal and the chance to expunge it completely from your record in the future. You cannot do it without a lawyer.
