QUESTION

Can I get an MIP dropped?

Asked on Dec 01st, 2011 on Criminal Law - Kansas
More details to this question:
This is in Prairie Village, KS. I'm 19 and the MIP was for an unopened sixer that I claimed was mine. Like I said, the notice to appear in court says the incident time was 0037HRS on Nov. 30th, but this was last night after midnight so it would actually be 0037HRS on Dec. 1st. Can I get this charge dropped?

It's unlikely you will get a charge like an MIP dropped for that. Depending upon your prior criminal record you might be eligible for a Diversion if this is your first offense. I would recommend contacting a criminal defense attorney as soon as you can.
