You can file a motion for return of the firearms, but the judge, in his or her sound description, will probably not grant it. .

Probably not for a long time, and you will probably need a doctor to okay it. Don't you think that your opinion alone is suspect?

Why would you want the gun back? ?If the police took it, you have to determine on what basis, as if it is evidence as to a criminal charge they probably will not release it. In any case, I suspect they will not want to release it because they think you may try to harm yourself again.
