QUESTION

Can I get my record expunged?

Asked on Dec 08th, 2015 on Expungements - Texas
More details to this question:
I was convicted of a burglary felony in 1998. I was 17 and convicted as an adult. This record causes so many problems for me with jobs. I have been married for nearly 14 years and have 2 daughters and have not been arrested for anything since this conviction. I was on parole for 2 years and never had a problem while completing that either. Am I eligible to get my record sealed or expunged? I live in Colorado now but the record is from Texas.

The law in Texas does not allow an expungement or a non-disclosure order if you had a final conviction and served time. The only option you have is a pardon from the governor or president These are very hard to get.
