Yes, you can be sentenced to ;time served,' for your case, but more than likely the judge will sentence you to a period of months, and then give you credit for the time you spent in jail awaiting the resolution of your case. You are more likely to get credit for time served by pleading rather than a trial, since the judge will take into consideration that you saved the state the time and cost of a trial.
