Can I go to jail on resisting arrest ?

More details to this question:
I broke tv and fish tank in my house.when police came to my house I and I refused to go to jail so they had to use force.

the crime is 'resisting arrest'. the police can request jail and both the prosecutor and judge will listen. i would hire an attorney to mitigate the consequences, to avoid jail and to avoid a criminal record. you need to explain that you are a good person, a productive member of society and that there were extenuating circumstances. you need character letters from 'first responders'. please call if we can help. ed dimon 732-797-1600
