Just because there are "typos" on the ticket (like listing your wrong date of birth or driver license number, for example) does not necessarily mean the case will be automatically dismissed outright. Your better bet is to request a court date and try to negotiate a deal to minimize the impact of the ticket on your criminal record, or, if the ticket is simply a civil infraction and not a misdemeanor, to request a reduction of the fine.
